To configure an Orbi Router as Access Point, you can use the Orbi web interface to change its operating mode. Access Point mode allows your existing router or modem-router to manage network functions while Orbi provides Wi-Fi coverage.
Steps to Configure Orbi as Access Point
Connect your computer or phone to the Orbi network.
Open a web browser and enter orbilogin.com or orbilogin.net.
Sign in with your Orbi administrator credentials.
Go to Advanced > Advanced Setup > Router/AP Mode.
Select AP Mode and review the available settings.
Choose how the Orbi will receive its IP address, then select Apply.
Wait for the Orbi system to restart and complete the configuration.
After setup, connect your devices to the Orbi Wi-Fi network and check your internet connection. If the connection does not work, verify the Ethernet cable, restart both networking devices, and check the settings on the main router. Using Orbi Router as Access Point can help extend wireless coverage while keeping your existing router as the primary network device.
